SUPREME COURT.

(Before His Honor Sir J. Prendergast, Chief Justice.) The Supreme Court criminal sittings commenced in McFarlane's Hall yesterday morning. The Grand Jury found true bills against G, Hill, falee pretences (two charges); Rawiri te Ahu, forgery and false pretences (eight Counts) ; P, Ryan, larceny as a bailee ; Hoani Ngamu, breaking and entering; but not tn the case ot Johnstone Robinson, for laceny as a bailee, and he was accordingly discharged. The Natiwe charged with breakjog and entering pleaded guilty and he was remanded till this morning, After heariug evidence in the ease against Rawiri ta Ahu, the jury returned a verdict of “not guilty." The other counts were then dismissed, as the evidence was of a similar nature, The ebarge against George Hill for obtain log goods under false pretences was heard. Mr Kenny appeared for the prisoner, Tbe jury retired about 8 o’clock yesterday otter, noon, and up to 9 last night they were unable to come to a decision. The Crown Prosecutor suggested to His Honor that the jury should be discharged, and the prisoner should be acquitted on the first charge, to which His I Honor agreed.
