FRIGHTFUL RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
TWO TRAINS COLLIDE IN A TUNNEL LIVES LOST AND CARRIAGES SMASHED. London, October 1. News from Naples conveys the information of a frightful railway accident in a town in Southern Italy. There was a collision between two trains while passing through a tunnel, and the result was terrible.
Nineteen carriages were smashed, and a great many of the occupants killed or severely wounded.
