London, October 19. The Dock laborers passed a vote of thankg to the Melbourne Age, South Australian Advertiser, and Sydney Daily Telegraph for the sympathy and support accorded in the laborers' recent struggle against the Dock Companies. It has been decided to allow the surplus to etill remain in hand till November next, in case of a breach of faith on the pait of the dock owners. There is a slight friction between the firemen on the Orient and N.Z. Shipping Companies’ steamers and the Seamen's Union. The Methodist Free Church and New Con» nection are uniting. Earl Granville and Marquis of Ripon confirm the remarks delivered by Mr Gladstone at Hawarden, that the recent strike was pregnant with hope for the future of labor. Surprise has been expressed at the dearners of money, but it has not delayed the announcement of the New Zealand loan. Berlin, October 19. Count Kalnoky, Austrian Minister of Foreign Affaire, has arrived on a visit to Priuce Bismarck.
