WESTERN AUSTRALIA.
London, October 28. Lord Deiby, in his speech at Liverpool, said he was opposed to granting the Constitution of Western Australis, which was tbe result of an attempt to keep that colony in a stale of dependence, with the view to control ita waste lands. It was directly contrary to the policy pursued for the last forty years, and if consistent should have been made retrospective and applied to the other colonies. As for tbe ery of ” Australia for the Australians,” it had no perceptible effect.
