MR CARR APPOINTED ENGINEER ON THE NAPIER HARBOR BOARD [FROM OUR OWN COBRESPONDENT ] Napier, last night. At a meeting of the Harbor Board yestcrday afternoon Mr J. T. Carr was appointed Engineer at £5OO a year. The matter was first dealt with in committee, the result being that' a recommendation by 5 to 4 was made that Mr Saunders,, the present Secretary, be appointed Engineer. A resolu tion was, however, carried that members ballot for an Engineer from the list before them, and after two ballota Mr Carr was elected by 5 votes to 4 for Mr Sjaunderp.
