Yesterday afternoon Mr J Sand'ant, while driving hie butcher's cart on the Wbataupoko, had his leg broken. Mr Sandlant was seated on one of the shafts, his legs dangling, and going round he twitched up the hone, which lashed ont and kicked the driver on the shin, breaking the leg. Mr C. Goldsmith, who was near at the time, helped Mr Sandlant off, the horse at first continuing violent. Mr Sandlant was afterwards removed to his house, where bis injuries were attended to by Dr Pollen.
