NAPIER PARK RACE MEETING. (nox OUS OWN CORBISrONDBST.) Napier, last night. The second days’ racing of ths above meeting took place on Thursday last. The weather wqs splendid, and the attendance good. The totalisator was well patronised throughout the day, the largest dividend paid being £l3 10s on Cynical, in the City Stakes. The following are the results : — Second Hurdle Race—Uranus 1, Darnley 2, Raven 3. This was a good race, all the horses taking the jumps in splendid style; on entering the straight Darnley was at the head of affairs, but Uranus, who was ridden with splendid judgment, now came through his field, and, staying longest, won by about a length from the black son of Bothwell, with Raven a good third. Time, 3m 20 4-oths. Div., £6 3s. ~ _ Two Year old Handicap—Arcenel 1, Seraph 2, Lnllabv 3. Won with the greatest ease. Time, Im 5 4 oths. Div., £3 Ils. City Stakes, of 200sovs.— Cynical 1, Patchwork 2, Burd Helen 3. This was a grand race up the straight between Patchwork and Cynical, although the latter always had the best of it, coming away when he liked, and won by fully hatf a length. Time, 2m 14 4-sths. Div. £l3 10s.

Shorts Handicap—Tit 1, Claude 2, Siilvermine 3. Won easily. Time, Im 35 l-sths. Div., £3 Is. Novel Race Handicap—Pursestring 1, Salisbury 2, Eileen 3. Div., £6 7s. Waverley Stakes—Man Friday 1, Forester 2, Huerfana 3. Div., £6 15s, Second Hack Race—Chance 1, Tit 2, Piscador 3. Div., £2 17s.
