The Bank rate of interest is per cent. The quarter’s exports show an increase of /,2,080,000, and imports show a decrease °f 16784,000 compared with the corresponding period in 1889. Messrs Balm, Jacomb and Co. report of their wool sales that 8300 bales of moderate quality were catalogued. There was a good attendance of buyers, and fair competition for all lots offered. Merinos and coarse crossbreds were five per cent below February prices, while good crossbreds were unchanged.
