From Gisborne to Tokomaru.
Mb McLoughlin, contractor, has accomplished the wonderful feat—wonderful when the roads are remembered—of getting two drays with teams of three horses as far as Tokotnaru, a task which had never previously been succeeded in. But it was not managed without tha greatest trouble. In some places the rook cuttings bad to be further worked in to permit of the drays passing, while in other places the greatest trouble was experienced, and the state of the weather was wretched all through. Mr McLoughlin says that the experience was one, which he should not like again to have The County Council will reap the benefit of a good deal of the work which Mr McLoughlin bad to do. The question which will occur later on will probably be whether it will be worth while bringing ths drays back to , Gisborne, eortsidering the trouble,;
