Fatal Accident at Napier Harbor Works.
WORKMAN CRUSHED BY A FALLING ROCK, [FBOM OUB OWN COBBESFOSDENT.J Napieb, last night. At the breakwater works this morning, while a body of men were filling trucks at the foot of the big quarry, a fall of earth and stone came down from the top of the bluff. The men saw it coming and all but one got away. The unfortunate man who failed to escape in time was crushed by an enormous piece of rook. The sufferer, whose name is Frederick Hampshire, was attended to as soon as possible. He was immediately conveyed to the Hospital, but the injuries were so serious that death ensued before the building was reached.
