DISGUSTED WITH THEIR TACTICS. [FBOM OUB OWN COBBBsroNDENT.J Nafibb, last night. The Evening News has the following political reference which may be interesting in Gisborne :— “ Mr James Carroll, M.H.R., in an interview with one of our staff, said he was perfectly disgusted with the tactics adopted by the Squatter party at the last Poverty Biy election, and he confirms the statement made by us, aud contradicted by the Telegraph, that he suporred the candidature of Mr Rees. Mr Carroll is now far from being a Minis terial supporter.”
