Threatened Revolution.
HANGING A PBEMIER IN EFFIGY. [FEB SAN FRANCISCO MAIL]. The Newfoundlanders are said to be on the eve of a revolution. The coast population is intensely excited over the concessions made by the Imperial Government to the French fishing interest, and the native fishermen are all arming. They threaten to accompany a monster petition they intend presenting to Parliament. The Liberal party, who is supporting popular opinion, have sent a secret deputation to ascertain sui rasa if possible upon what terms Newfoundland will be admitted to the American union if she accomplishes final separation from England. The press Is shouting loudly for annexation, and the Premier is being hung in effigy.
