A shooting cue Is reported from KlUaraey, near Warwick, Queensland. Thomas Wright, a resident settler, aooneed James M’Cabe of wronzing his daughter. He asked M'Oabe to promise to marry tbe girl, and not getting a satisfactory answer, levelled a gun at the latter, who put up his hands and threw bis head on one ride. A portion of the charge lodged in his right hand, but he is not seriously injured. Wright has been arrested, •• Why are you so precise in your statement ?
