Loan M.A. Company have received the following cablegram, dated June 24, from their London office: —Wool: The sales opened this day at an average decline of 10 per cent, for merino, and 5 per cent, for crossbred on last sales’ closing rates. The attendance of both Home and Foreign buyers is good, and competition by both sections of the trade is fairly active. The total quantity available, including wool held over from last series, is 462,000 bales, 60,000 bales of which have been forwarded to the manufacturing districts direct.
