In accordance with notice Mr Coleman moved that the remuneration of the Medical Officer be reduced from £l5O to £lOO per annum, as from Ist October next. He argued that the Trustees should assist the local authorities in their endeavors to economise, further that as tbe telephone had now been erected a great saving of time to tha Doctor would result, and the present would be a favorable opportunity to take action, when a new appointment was necessary. Mr Lucas seconded, pro forma, but more for the purpose of moving an amendment to the effect that the salary be £125 per annum from October next, dispensing included, The amendment was seconded by Mr Harris, and it was carried unanimously.
