The County Elections.
Gbeat interest was taken yesterday in the elections for the County Council. The contest for the Gisborne riding was very close, though the greatest good feeling prevailed throughout. The result was in favor of the present Councillor, Mr King, the totals being!—
For the Waimata riding the voting resulted :— C. Gray 32 J. Tombleson 7 Of the other tidings wa oould get no definite information in by last night, but We believe the teenies are nearly certain to be Te Arai, Messrs Clark and Tuohy ; Waikohu, Messrs Chambers and Wethered,
