The Catholic Timss thinks that it is the duty of all Catholics and those who favor justice to Catholics, to vote for Mr Kelly. It is believed that the Catholics will give a block vote for Mr Kelly, owing to the unfair attempt that has been made to create religious dissension in the community. An accident occurred last night to Mr Edgar Good's daughter. She was being given a ride on a horse, but as the animal was being led through a gateway, the little girl caught the post with her foot, and rolled off, the horse then tramping upon her face, over one of the eyes. The child was immediately attended to, and Dr Innes was called in, It seemed a miracle that the child was not killed. She is now in no danger, but will probably be badly marked on the face. The School Committee met last night, Mr D. Johnston being in rhe chair. It was decided to recommend W, Talbot and A, Sootter for the position of pupil teachers. The Committee agreed to ask the Board to erect another class room, and it was arranged to have the footpath tarred, the Committee paying one-third of the cost. It was decided to open subscription list for the purpose of raising funds for the purchase of prizes, instead of holding a picnic as at first proposed. Accounts amounting to £lO 10s 6d were passed for payment.
