The following weights have been declared for the above Club’s autumn meeting:— Napier Cup. of 300 sovs,; 11 miles : Hilda 9.13, Dudu 9.12, Cissy 8 10, Crackshot 8 9, Boulanger 8.0, Pani and Wakatipu 79, Recluse and St. Andrew 77, Retina 76, Lenore 7.4, Jenny 72, Huerfana 70, Kiekie 612, Queen of Trumps 6.9, Kapo and Lochneea 68. Aronoel, Seraph, and Misfortune 67, Thackeray 6.6, Wayland 64, Pouawa and Maid of Lome 60. Flying Handicap, of 100 sovs; six furlongs : Cissy 9.1, St. Andrew 8.12, Boulanger* 8.9, Retina and Recluse 8.4, Pursestring 7.10, Pani 7 8, Lullaby 7.7, Locbness 7.5, Huerfana and Lenore 74, Jenny and Angler 7.3, Kupenga, Queen of Trumps and Kiekie 7.0, Thackeray and Aronoel 610, Seraph and Criminal 6.9, Swivel and Hakimana 67, Bay King 6.2, Pouawa and Maid of Lome 6 0.
The easy victory of Dudu in the Wanganui Cup the ether day allowed that animal to annex the Cup for the third time. Pouawa, Pani, and Wakatipu, left by the 8.8. Tarawera on Saturday evening last for Napier, in order to fulfil their engagements. ° Hippo,” in the Napier Telegraph of Saturday last, says;—“ Misfortune arrived here yesterday, and is looking fairly well. Neither Cissy nor Hilda are likely to be here, and St. Andrew is being treated to a spell.”
