Hospital Trustees.
The ordinary meeting of the above was held last night. Freaent: Captain Tucker (chairman), Messrs Watson, Coleman, Luoaa, C. A, Brown, E. F. Harris, and Nolan.
The monthly report showed—Remaining from last month 8, admitted 12, discharged 6, remaining at present 14 Two chronic cases were ordered to be discharged, and recommended to the Charitable Aid Board as in-patients of the O.d Men’s Home.
Tne Treasurer reported a credit balanoe of £l2l 5s 7d. Accounte emouuting te £72 9* 3d were passed for payment. It wae decided to repaper the hall and corridor, and the Visiting Committee were insinuated to bring up sn es'lmata of the cost, at next meeting. Other minor matter* were left to the Committee to oarry oat during the month. Messrs Tuohy and Watson Were appointed Visitiug Committee for the moath. Ths Trustees then went into Committee on the estimates for the ensuing year. A table of the estimated and actual receipt* and expenditure for the past year wae submitted. The actual reoeipte (including surplus) were £1157 4s Bd, being slightly below the estim.te. The expenditure was shown as £llOB 8e 4d, being a earn of £67 below the estimate. The eetimates for the ensuing year were then considered. The ordinary receipts were estimated at £4lo* which, together with surplus available, amounts to £584. The estimated expenditure was £lOB4, leaving a deficiency of £5OO, the half cf which will be payable by the Cook and Waiapu County Councils and the Borough Council, in proportion to rateable value.
