The annual distribution of prizes was made at the above school last week, by Mr Harris, headmaster, the Chairman of the Committee (Mr Bright) being unavoidably absent :— Standard Vl.—Dux, Inez Richardson. Standard V,—lst, Wm. McCulloch ; 2nd, Jane Stevenson ; good conduct, Kate Skipworth ; sewing, Btesie Birrell ; attendance, Charlotte Tarr; special composition and spelling, H. Caldwell. Standard IV.— Ist class, Trixie Scudamore ; 2nd class, Maud Wright; 3rd class, Harry Parker ; good conduct, E. Von Pein ; sewing, Maria Cameron ; attendance, Minnie O’Donnell; special for writing, Helen Thelwall. Standard lll—lst class, Sydney Jones ;
2nd class, Lily Malone; 3rd class, Rowena Arthur ; attendance, John Gray and Maggie Muldoon ; sewing, Maggie Birrell. Standard 11. — Ist class, Robt. Cameron, 2nd class, Mary Thelwall; 3rd class, Maggie Jobson ; attendance, Mary Malone, Florence Greaves, Violet Jones, and Olaf Richardson; sewing, Addie. Standard I (Upper).—Janey Perry, Ethel Bright, Agnes Malone, Annie Olson (tied for top marks); attendance, Esther Malone (408), Fanny O’Donnell (406) ; sewing Bertha Greene. Lower 1: class 1, Bella Hair and Fred. Cook (tie); class 2, Hunter Caldwell. Ist grade : class 1, Lizzie Muldoon ; class 2, Frank Cook. 2nd grade: class 1, Mary Jobson; class 2, Rowena Peterson. Progress : Fred Malone, Lena Arthur, and Charles Perry. General information prize, presented by Miss Wright to W. Caldwell.
