Druids’ Lodge.

The quarterly summoned meeting of the Turanganui Lodge, No. 191, U.A.0.D., was hold on Thursday night, there being a large attendance. Arch. Druid Bro. C. F. Lewis presided. The balance-sheet for the halfyear ending June 25th was submitted, together with the auditors’ report. The total worth of funds of the Lodge was shown to be £550 14s 3d, of which £517 16s l|d stands to the credit of Sick Fund, £2O 14s lid Management Fund, and a surplus of £l2 4s in Benevolent Fond. As indicating the sound financial position of the Lodge, and progress made, it was shown that the funds had accumulated in three years by the sum of £35014s 3d, the total of funds in June, 1888, being £2OO. The membership had also largely increased, the number now being 132. Nine candidates were ballotted for and elected at the meeting. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year :—Arch. Druid, Bro. J. Nutting ; V.A Druid, Bro. A. Reddell; Secretary, Bro. H. McKay (re elected); Treasurer, Bro. G. W. Primrose (re-elected); A.D. Bards, Bros. T. Leslie and G. Richardson ; V.A.D. Bards, Bros. M. Rice and P. A. Matthews; 1.G., Bro. 0. Morgan {Auditor, Bro. G, J. A. Johnstone.
