The following cases were adjudicated on by Mr Booth on Thursday :—

A. M. Gray v. W. Dette, claim 13s fid ; judgment by default, costs 6i. R. Colebrook v, R. Akurangi, claim £3 Ils fid ; judgment by consent for £2 lln fid, oasts 14s.

R. Colebrook v, C. Anderson, claim £4O 0s 2d ; judgment by default, oosts £1 3s. Oatridge and Veale v. J. Preston, claim £4 2s 91 ; Mr Jones for plaintiff; judgment by default, costs 6s. Oatridge and Veale v. Otto Hansen, claim £1; Mr Jones for plaintiff, and Mr L. Rees tor defendant. Defendant objedted to pay on the ground that proper accounts had not been rendered—he said he djd not object to paying the £l, but strongly resented losing a day and having to pay costs, On plaintiffs side it was shown that the accounts had always been rendered .in due course, but on a settlement with the solicitor the defendant said be thought he did no't owe the pound, It wae agreed to leave that amount in abeyance until Mr Hansen would make further enquiries at home, but as it was allowed to run on and no payment tqade, potion was taken, Judgment for amount, goats 6s.
