Thb rush for tickets for General Booth's meestings in Australia has already commenced, and the demand threatens to swamp the number issued. Although the largest halls in Australia have been engaged, yet they could be filled already with holders of Si reserve tickets. The tickets for the New Zealand meetings will shortly be issued, and a similar, if not greater demand is anticipated. The New Zealand tour will occupy from October 15th till November 9th, followed by Hobart, Launceston, Melbourne, Ballarat, Adelaide, farewell for India November 25th, Ths Cape Government railway in South Africa, and the railway authorities in Victoria and New South Wales have made generous concessions to all Salvationist! wishing to attend General Booth's meetings. The New Zealand Bailway Commissioners have been approached with a like object, but have up to the present declined to make any concessions whatever. During the month 0! August 293 applications for work have been registered at the Salvation Army's Labor Bureaux in Christchurch, Wellington, and Dunedin. Of this number about 80 found work in the districts and 50 have been sent to the North Island for buehtalling and road making. Sixty* eight applications have been received from employees. The Salvation Army Labor Bureau is becoming generally recognised as an important and reliable medium between capital and labor.
