New Electoral Districts.
Wellington, Thursday. The effect of the alteration in the populalation shown by the census is that the South Island loses one member and the North Island gains one member, the numbers being 39 and 31. The following table shows the actual and nominal populations of the electoral dis triots :—
The East Coast Electoral District as altered comprises the Counties of Cook, Waiapu, and Wairoa, together with Petane Riding and Puketapu Road District, both of Hawke’s Bay County, and the Borough of Gisborne. Clyde Town District is in this electorate.
