OLD AGE PENSIONS.
THE BELGIAN SCHEME. London, October 26.
Owing to the great number of applications for old ago pensions in Belgium, the calculations of the Government have been upset. Instead of only laborers applying, as expected, the applicants include retired tradesmen and small property owners. The Government have therefore dissolved the local committees because of the claims admitted, and appointed a central osmmittee to reduce the lists.
