H.B. AERO CLUB

NEW ’PLANE TO BE PURCHASED SATISFACTORY PROGRESS MADE. To provide further facilities for club members to obtain certificates, the executive of the Hawke's Bay Aero Club last evening decided to purchase another 'plane. Towards the cost of this machine £320 has been promised. It is hoped that in the near future club members will be able to take solo flights to complete their course preparatory to obtaining a certificate Captain White reported that the club’s Moth had been repaired, the new wing having arrived from Australia. The test had been quite satisfactory. Club members have received continued tuition, and very satisfactory progress is being made. The club’s thanks are due to Mr. Nelson Smith for his generous action in handing back to the club debentures valued at £50 held by him.— A letter of appreciation and thanks is to be forwarded to Mr. Smith, and his action is to be noted in the club’s records. It was decided to make the periodic magazine “Contact” the official organ of the club. Mr. J. S. Butler was appointed auditor in the place of Mr. R. D. Brown, who has accepted the secretaryship.
