WEEK-END FIRING OKAWA DEFENCE CLUB RIVERS CUP SERIES At Roys Hill, during the week end tho Okawa Club completed the River’s Cup series, with the third aud final round, which called for ten shots at 500 and 600 yards. The wiud coming in from the left was variable, and a hazy light made sighting difficult. Under the conditions, Rifleman Mathewson, with range scores of 44 at 500 and 45 at 600 yards, was a good shoot. Other prominent range scores were; President Green, 42—46; Rflm. White, 42—45; Rflm. Hallagan, 44—42. Detailed scores are as follow:—

NAPIER DEFENCE CLUB. On Saturday afternoon the members of the Napier Defence Rifle Club fired the first senes for the trophy presented by Mr E. W. Storkey. It was a good day for shooting, but a day off for members, as only nine toed the mark. Deputy-President Nicholson registered the highest score off the rifle, and takes the ladder badge, and Sergt.-Major 1). Wallis wins the first leg in with 95. Following are the scores:—

WAIPUKURAU CLUB. TROPHY SHOOTS HELD. During the week-end the Waipukurau Rifle Club tired the final round for the Limbrick Cup, Hunger Shield, Hodge Cup a..d Haldaue Trophy. The weather conditions were not of the best, a fish-tail wiud causing many downfalls. In the shoot for the Limbrick Cup, McVicar topped the list with 65 out of 70, followed by C. Woodward with 62. On the shoot-off McVicar won the cup. In the Hunter Shield, Hodge Cup and Haldane Trophy, F. Fryer put on a good 94, followed by E. Haldane with 93. Haldane takes the Shield with an aggregate of 283. Fryer takes the Hodge Cup with 284, and C. L. Monckton the Haldane Trophy with 281. Details: —
