He is a promising young horse, but he may require some racing before he is seen at his best. The Ashburton sportsman Mr. E. B. Newton has decided to have his three-year-old colt Nightcap, by Night Raid from Dutch Courage, trained at Riccarton, and A. E. Wormaid will have charge of his preparation in future. He has been a member of J. J. Lewis’ team at Ashburton for some time, and he has the reputation of being a useful galloper, while ho was greatly admired when he accompanied Limerick in a sprint at the last meeting at Ashburton.
