LOW LEVEL TUNNEL COMPANY.
A meeting of the provisional directors of the above company, was held at M'Gaffin's Hotel, on Friday evening last. Present : Messrs Trennery (chair), Brennan, Connolly, Oxley, Caples, GxxU line, and Byrne. The miDutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. i The Secretary reported receiving a notice of Mr J. Chinrg's resignation as a provisional director, which was accepted, Mr G, .Wise being elected in bis stead. The Secretary reported that the neces* sary protection of 600 feet on either side of the proposed tunnel had been granted by Mr Warden, and that he had placed himself in communication with the heads of the Survey and Public Works Department, with a view of getting the base line cut, &o. The Printing Committee were requested to give every publicity to the undertaking by the immediate isssue of the prospectus. A resolution by Mr Brennan, affirming the necessity of extending the time for closing the share list to the 10th May ensuing was carried. A sub-cotnmittee consisting of Messrs Trennery, Gulline, Caples, and Wise, were appointed to fix the line of the proposed tunnel. The meeting then adjourned.
