Replying to Mr Stewart, as to whether the attention of the Government had been directed to the circumstances undei which Mr Parnell, a barrister cf the Supreme Court, had been recently or dered by the Resident Magistrate at AsbbUTS ton to be committed for seven dsy9 for alleged con'empt, and whether it is tbe intention of the Government to t;.ke any action in the matter, Mr Rolles'on said that Mr Purnell called uoon him and made a verbal complaint.
