In about an hour after they came bacjri bearing between them bis lifeless Body. They laid him upon the bed, and then one one of them pulled a«He the curtain which constituted our only cupboard, took therefrom abake-kettal and stood Mt beside tbe bed. in order to catch the blood that was flo wing from a fearful wound in li 4 throat. They theti Uf. the house, telling me to make as little noise about it as possible, or they might serve me in tbe same way.
