OKARITO RUSH.
The West Const Times now rpcommenrls cau'ion fo miners proceeding to the Mnpourika divines, and also fhnt H is unless for miners t.i proved to t ftp diggings without capital. The latest news (says our southern contempnrar ) received from Oknrito on Sifurday h^i via Ross, is to the effect that there am now about 150 miners on fhe ground at Mapourika.' The placa will now get a thorough trial, ss most of tlipm sre r--periencetf mon. The news that gold ha» been strnek on both sides of the r'vpr is confirmed. On the prospectors' sMo, the ground will fake considerable time fo prove, as some of the funnels must he driven 200 feet before reaching the wash 1 . Thus the ground being not thoroughly ■ proved, it is inadvisable for miners to proceed south without some lif'tle rnpital. In a short time results will be known, and it is hoped nnd be ieved that a rich and wide pcldfi.-ld will be opened.
