Tliis company is attracting attention j in consequence of the splendid yield now j being obtained from (ho Welcome to i which latter company, the Homeward Bound is in each close proximity. Energetic measures should be taken to open this mine as every inducement now exists, which ought to spur on the corns pany to vigorous action.
Mr Beeches plant for treating tailings in Boatman's Creek is completed,. but except a few trials, no general commence*, ment has been made to prosecute the industry withj that vigour, which the completeness of the new plant will per* mit of. This is owing t? the absence of Mr Kennan, the manager, -who was suddenly called away, last week, io the Thames, in consequence of sickness in his family, who are residing there.
