LARRY'S CREEK.
CALEDONIAN EXTENDED. The ordinary monthly meeting of ibe directors of the Caledonian Extended Company's, Larry's Creek, was held at the company's office in the evening of Saturday last, when six or seven appli cations for the office of mine manager were received, and Mr George Edwards got the appointment. This choice seems toha7e given general satisfaction, as Mr Edwards, in addition to being counted a good miner, it also a clever mechanic, in winch capacity bis services will be of value in this instance, as the company possesses machinery, which requires the supervision of an expert. The directors will, in conjunction with the new mana* 1 ger, inspect the mine on Thursday next for the purpose of deciding on the direction of future operations. It is probable that the extension of tunnel for which tenders have been called, will not be proceeded with as at first intended, and this matter at present left in abeyance until the inspection by the directors shall hare been nude.
