The tfficial report of the battle of Spitskop gives tbe following figures of casualities on the side of the British :— Officers killed, 9 ; wounded, 9 ; taken prisoners, 7 ; rank and file killed, 82 ; wounded, 120 ; taken prisoners, 250. London, March 2. It is announced that Generals Sir Donald Stuart and Sir Frederick Roberts, are to be created baronets. The House of Lords read the Irish Coercion Bil! a second time. In the House of Commons last night, tbe Irish Arms Bill was a read first time, and the measure was voted " urgent " in order to give the Speaker power to suppress obstruction to passage through House— with similar object, consideration of Supply was also den clared " urgent." It is announced that in addition to thotthree regiments whicb'-yesterday re*. ; *p.n^ec('■to";tlle Transvaal, further reinforcements, comprising three more regiments of infantry, battery of artillery, and detachment of cavalry, will also be despatched without delsy for service against tbe Boers. Sydney, March 3. In the Legislative Assembly last night, Mr E. Combes C.M.G., gave notice of motion in favour of a petition to tbe Queen praying for institution of enquiry into the working of Court of High Commissioner for the Western Pacific.
