OUR MINES.

» (fbom oub mining bepobteb.) MURRAY CREEK, KEEP-IT«DABK. The contractors for breaking down stone in the upper level have been engaged daring the week timbering up and securing the ground, which has been taken out. When this is done the present con* tract will cease, but as another block exists on or about this level a fresh con* tract will perhaps be let for taking that out also, in the meanwhile crushing operations for this company will be discontinued for a time until payable stone is again forthcoming. The extension of the low level is progressing gradually, but owing to the extreme tightness of the country to be traversed no great progress is being accomplished, although every exertion is being made to push on the work.
