NIL DESPERANDUM.
The tributors finished cleaning up to* day after a crushing of 162 tons of stone, which gave the very satisfactory result of 114oz. 14dwt. of retorted gold, and when it is borne in mind that the stone has been taken from a lode, which now has increased to 10 feet in thickness, both tributors and shareholders of the company have every reason to be con* gratulated on the unqualified success of operations in this mine. A disagreement has unfortunately arisen between the tributors and the Keep- it« Dark Com* pany, at whose mill the stone has been treated. It is to be hoped that tit matter will be amicably arranged, so that neither of the parties will sustain any loss. Fending the final issue, however, the tributors have under effer tl • Wealth of Nations machine, so that under any circumstances only a few days delay will occur.
