.. ♦ REUTER'S CABLEGRAMS. [fbom oub owjt cobbespondent.] Brisbane, Abril 23. The steamer Brisbane has arrived at CooktowQjfrom Hong Kong, wild 350 Chinese. London, April 21. A convention of Land leaguers held a meeting in Ireland. One thousand members were present, and passed resolutions setting forth the definite refusal of the League to accept the provisions of the Irish Land Bill new before Parliament, unless I material amendments are made. The proposal of Gladstone that the funeral of Beaeonsfield sbouid be pub* licly performed was made afc the de* sire of the Queen-^but Her Majesty bas deferred to the A-ishes expressed by tbe late Earl's will, that the funeral should be of a simple character. Tbe interment takes place afc Hugbendon on Tuesday next.
