Pabis, May 12 M. Barthelemy St. Hilare (Minister for Foreign Affairs) made a further statement in Chambers today as to the mtentions of France towards Tunis, He announced that it had been decided to demand substantial guarantees from the Bey that permanent quietude of Tunis Algerian frontier would be secured. He further made a complete disavowal of the belief which exists that the policy of the Government was directed towards annexation of Tunis by France. !
