' [PBOM OUB OWN COBBEBPONDENT.] London, May 12 Bradlough has written a letter to the Speaker of the House of Commons protesting against his expulsion and declaring that the same is illegal. Sir Wilfred Lawson has given notice in the House of Commons of a motion setting forth that the action of the Speaker in forbiddiug Bradlaugh's presence within the precincts of Par* 1 ament, is illegal. The Standard to-day publishes a telegram from Transvaal stating that the troubles between the Boers and the Natives Lave culminated in open hostilities, fighting of a severe character having saken place between them. Pabis, May 12 M. Barthelemy St. Hilare (Minister for Foreign Affairs) made a further statement in Chambers today as to the mtentions of France towards Tunis, He announced that it had been decided to demand substantial guarantees from the Bey that permanent quietude of Tunis Algerian frontier would be secured. He further made a complete disavowal of the belief which exists that the policy of the Government was directed towards annexation of Tunis by France. ! The latest telegrams to hand an* nounce that French forces are now only a few miles from Tunis. St. Petersburg, May 12. Serious riots, arising out of strong anti-Jewish feeling, have occurred in several towns in Southern Russia Conflicts have in some instances been most severe, and caused much bloodshed. The Czar has issued a proclamation declaring his intention to maintain autocracy of Russia, and see eyery endeavor made to extirpate sedition from the Country.
