GOLDEN FIEECE EXTENDED.
The usnal weekly cleaning up took place at the battery on Saturday last, with a return of 1480Z3 Sdwts of amal« gam, from 130 tons of stone. The bat» tery was idle for half a-day. The winze is now down 62 feet, and carries 2 feet of stone. A start has been made with the No 4 level, wbich carries 2 feet of stone, going south towards the Result. All other works are progressing satisfactorily.
