BOATMAN'S.
WELCOME. The general activity, which has pre« vailed in all parts of Ibis mine, is being fully maintained, and the regularity o' operations is unaltered. A contract has been let to Dav'we and party for tbe further extension of the No. 6 level a distance of 150 feet at 33s 6i per foot. The intermediate level between Nos. 5 and 6 levels, is a!s) progressing satis* factorily. The object being to keep the levels well in advance of the slopes. Since the substitution of the new pinion wheel the battery is working smoothly, and tbe averago qaan'ity of stone is being milled. JUST-IN TIME. General operations in this mine have now been at a standstill for some time, except in the Boatman's Creek level, where a few hands are being employed. FIEEF CROSS. The contractors are making steady progress with the sinking of the shaft — beyond this no other work is being carried on in the mine.
