GOLDEN TEE A SURE.

The south drive is now 32 feet from the winzp, and is being constructed along the reef towards the old winze, which was sunk some considerable time since, but has not been utilised Mely. The distance now intervening between the end of the drive, and the immediate objrct of the extension thereof is now only about 90 feet. This is being lessened every day, and when the connection will be completed, additional advantages will result in many respects, as a larger scope of country will then have been opened, and the free ventilation of the mine secured. The block of stone which is now being broken down fully maintains the dimensions formerly noted, and the quality of the stone appears of the same payable nature as that lately crushed. Two shiffs are being worked at the mill during this week, and as abundance of stone is freely forthcoming, it is probable that the mill will be kept continuously running before long. In the meantime, present appearances would indicate that a dividend of at least Is per share will be available for distribution after the general cleaning up, which it is intended will be made at the end of the month. The scrapings of top plates for the fortnight were retorted to-day, and yielded 103^z* of gold ; 88 tons of stone has been crushed during that time, so that it will be seen that, the yield sn far is very satisfactory ; about 50 or 60 fz<*. are estimated to remain in boxes and blanketings.
