Wellington, August 12. Somewhat of a scene occurred jester* day in the [louse arising out of a ques tion as to why the sfeeraer Wakatipu had been allowed ts come direct from Bpdney and land passengers without usual quarantine regulation. Some fifty passengers and members of crew were vaccina'ed, others being recently yac» cinated, and whole of the passengers and cargo were then landed. Great in. dignation w;;s expressed by several members. A long discussion then engued on the following motion by Saiinder-s, that no financial proposals will be acceptable to this House that, are not based on strict adoption of the annual expenditure of the Colony to its annual Tevenue without an? assistance from borrowed money, and that do not aim at complete seperation of Colonial and local finance, and the entire emancipation of the latter from control or interference of this House." Nothing deGnite resulted.
