M'Call, on the ground that the dam would back the water, and render a large area of auriferous ground useless, especially the claim of the objector. Mr Joues, appeared for the objector, and stated that M'Call had applied for a lease of ground, including the dam site. Mr H. Lucas, on being called, said that M'Call's application was made on the loth July, and is set down for bearing on the 22nd next month.
