The passages of members, £100, are reduced, and the planting parliamentary grounds, £60, is cot proposed this year, leaving a net decrease on Legislative of £100. In the Colonial Secretary's Department graints in aid to hospitals are put down at £24.000, to charitable institutions £16,000. In the Property Tax Department the chief commissioner gets £150 instead of £700, but receivas £250 as secretary for stamps and land and deeds. Ihe expenses of the properly tax are estimated at £8493, as against £25,418 last year. Militia and Volunteersjshow a decrease of £600. Police and Armed Constabulary are set down at £97,649, as compared with £132,213 last year, Under permanent charges the following changes

appear — One-third proceeds of the land? sold on deferred payments are payable to local bodies, amounting to £30,600, as against £16,000 last year. The Xew Pivmouth Harbor Board endowment is £33,000, against £3000. Ellesmere Re* clamation and Akaroa Eailway Trust, &c, at £"31 266. against nil. Subsidies to local bodies in arrears, £100, against £103,296. Twen'y per cent of land sales paid to counties, nil, against £11,421. Special snrreys, £13,600, against nil. Survey Department £91.278, against £88 436. The 10 per cent, deduct iou is only applied to the first three months of the year, Uint is to June 30th.
