AT an adjourned special meeting of tbe Council held at the Council Chambers, Beefton August let, 1881, it was resolved on tbe motion of Counoillor Williams, seconded by Counoillor Trennery— That the Council doth by this lesolution make and levy a separate rate of three pence in the pound on the annual value of all rateable property as appearing in the valuation roll for the time being in force within that portion of the Hiding of Keefton as defined by the following boundaries, viz— On the north by the right-of-way between Sbiel-streetandChnroh street; on the south by the Inangahua river ; on ths east by Donovan-street and on the west by Hampden road ; and tbe said rate ia hereby made t That it be for a period of one year commencing on tbe Ist day of September, 1881 ; and that it be pajable in one sum on tbe 7th day of September. 1881. and tbis resolution is hereby declawd to be a speoial order of the said Council.
