the crushing of 106 tons. Tho total smu'it of amalgam obtained from top plates tor the three weeks, during which the company has been crushing reached to nearly 918ozs, which realised 301ozs 14d*ts of retorted gold, from a total of 361 tons crushed to date. The driving at the bottom level north is yet vprv bard, rind the reef still retains a width of from 4to 5 feet ; 5 A tons of stone were raised duriog the week, and crushing will he continued until at least 500 tons m ail have been treated.
