UifmsD Alpine. The stone milled during the week is of superior quality to that of the pre« vious return, which was reported at 312 >z of amalgam from 204 tons. The partial cleaning: of the top plates yesterday gave a result of 3870z of amalgam from 190 toss, so that with a diminished quao* tity of stone treated, a considerable increase of amalgam has been obtained. As will be seen from the nbove figures the improTement is equal to about SO per cent.
