Further details which have been received of the rioting which took place yesterday at Balmullet show that thefirsr accounts were greatly overdrawn ; the conflict between the police and the rioters was of a severe characied, but only a few of the latter were wounded by the firiDg of the police. As the barque Croigard, from Lyttel» ton, was proceeding from London to Hull with 10S6 bags of wheat on board she came into collision with the steamer Srimsby, and the Craigard sank in a short time, having been seriously damaged ; all on board were saved, but it is not known what damage was sustained by the steamer. Tbe Irish Land Commission is overladen with business ; fresh cases for tbe decision of the Commission are being daily brought forward by both landlords and tenants. Stdnvy, November 4 The captain and crew of the Glympse had only a keg of water which proved to be salt and sojie raw potatoes, on which they subsisted for eight day« ; they at length hailed a passing steamer and were rescued j the men suffered terrible privations in open boat, principally from thirst ; the vessel was insured for £500 in the New Zealand office. PorMona of wreck found south of Newcastle point to the belief that the barque Omba, from Batavta to Melbourne, foundered with all hands; among the wreckage was found a medicine chest with the word Omba on it. Some Temora reels are yielding well ; at Copeland's claim lOOoz to the ton are reported to have been obtained. Commodore Wilson has been raised to tee rank of Vice-Admiral. Melbourne. 4. An injunction has been granted in the Supreme Court calling upon Commodore Wilson to show cause why be should not be committed for contempt of court for ordering tbe arrest of a deserting bands* man, after he had been previously discharged by Judge Higinbotham. on the ground that he could not be treated as a deserter. Paris* November 4. Gambetta hannp undertaken the task of forming a new Ministry, he has resigned the Presidency of the Chamber of Deputies and M. Eris«on, one of the Vice Presidents, was to^d<iy elected to tbe vacant portfolio.
