KEUTER'S CABLEGRAMS. [fhom oub own cobbespondent.] London, November 17. Ao extensive robbery was perpetrated to-day at Hatton Gardens (London) Post Office; the gas in the office was suddenly turned off, and before it could bo relighted a registered bag containing diamonds and other valuables, worth £80,000, was stolen ; the robber has not been captured. Berlin, 17. The two Houses of Imperial Parliament, (Bundesrath and Reichataa) were opened to-day. The speech from the Throne was read by Prince Bismarck ; His Majesty's Address stated that the peace of the Empire was surer than it had 1 been at any time during the last decade ; it announced that the present economic fiscal policy of the country would be firmly adhered to, and concluded by stating that a scheme of insurance for workmen would be instituted with a view to improve; the latters' welfare, and contract the growth of socialism in the Empire, Stdney, 18. Three workmen were suffocated to» day by fumes from vinegar vats at Monk 's works. Melboubne, 19. Information has been received that five Russian men of war will shortly visit the Colonies ; two of the vessels are, it is said, under orders to proceed direct to Auckland.
